26 Mar — First Annual National Vietnam War Veterans Day 1600-1900 at Captains House 1300 Bianca Drive NE Palm Bay. Incudes ceremony, memorabilia displays, guest speakers and FREE dinner from 1630- 1730. Presented by VVA Chapter 1096, Vietnam War Exhibit and Vietnam Veterans of Brevard. 27 Mar — VIETNAM – READING OF THE NAMES – 1400-1600. At Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims. The annual Reading of the Names will be at the Flag Assembly Area. The names of each Vietnam veteran buried at CCNC from March 31, 2025 through March 26, 2026 will be respectfully read. The public and all veterans are invited; the Unforgettable Memories Foundation will present Vietnam veterans with a pin in recognition and thanks. A limited number of chairs are provided, lawn chairs welcome, water provided.

30 Mar — United States Air Force Band in Concert, Main Stage of the King Center in Melbourne 1900-2100. FREE but Tickets required at King Center Booking.

Come out and honor these veterans, some from the Korean War era and their Guardians that will travel with them. Many veteran organizations and community groups support this amazing program. MOAACC Good Deeds funds FIT ROTC Cadets and Veterans in the VA sponsored FIT Psych PhD program to serve as guardians throughout the year. 22-24 May — In the BVMC Park and Plaza: Florida wide Ride for Freedom presented by Rolling Thunder FL- 1. Friday focus is ride in; Gold Star Family Dinner and Flame Walk to the Walls and Monuments (1500-2000). Saturday is Rally with food, music and much more. (0900-2000), Sunday, 25 May will be the motorcycle ride for freedom starting at BVMC Plaza and MI Mall 0900-1100. More details in early April.

04 July BCSO/BVMC Independence Day Parade and America 250 Celebration. (1000 – 1300). Check BCSO web site to register in the parade in May. Parade starts at Merritt Island High School (1000 – with set up 0830-1000) and continues to Edgewood Jr/Sr High School and the BVMC Plaza and Park where food trucks and music await to celebrate 250 years of America and Veterans who created, protected and continued America as we love it.

 

AUGUST 2026

09 Aug — Annual Military of the Purple Heart Recognition Ceremony at the BVMC Museum (1400-1600) with special recognition of 10 Purple Heart Recipients where their stories of courage and sacrifice will be told. Quilts of Valor also presented along with recognition for several officials. Contact Donn Weaver for more information.

09 Sep — Commemoration of the attacks on America on 9/11/2001 sponsored by Club 1013 And BVMC. (1700-1830) In the Plaza or new Park Amphitheater. Details in July.
